Meet Pedro!
The Gentle Giant

He’s tall, he’s built and, yes, maybe a little imposing, but what most people don’t readily discern about this big man on G’s campus is how much fun he is. If there is one characteristic his customers and fellow crew members alike point out about Pedro, it’s his unique sense of humor and down–for–whatever personality. Running a close second, however, is the fact that this papi has a carefree, casual, and friendly demeanor that keeps everyone around him at ease.
He’s become G’s “pint of Patron Pedro,” who, as fellow crew member Patrick says, “has been incredible to work Saturdays with” no doubt in part because of his aforementioned qualities. Always good for a laugh, easy on the eyes and always greets you with a smile? It's no wonder all the boys want to get to know Pedro. Here’s your chance.
- Do you have a nickname?
Yeah, whatever you want to call me.
- What is your top vacation destination?
The Dominican Republic.
- What brought you to New York City and how long have you been living here?
I came to fulfill my dreams and my goals. I have been living here 8 years now.
- Where did you live in The Dominican Republic?
I was born and raised in Santiago De Los Caballeros.
- How did your life in the Dominican Republic differ most from your life here in New York City?
New York is much more fast–paced and the level of exposure is different.
- Do you have any tattoos?
I have two; a phoenix (bird) and a dragon.
- What are some of your hobbies and/or activities?
Basketball, baseball and weightlifting.
- How long have you been weightlifting?
About five years.
- Speaking of hobbies, which do you prefer? Girls or boys?
Both. And I mean both. Better if at the same time.
- Do you have a favorite drink?
Anything but gin.
- Which night at G Lounge do you like the most?
I like all of them.
- Who is your favorite DJ?
It’s a tie between DJ Bill Coleman and DJ Xavier.
- What would you say is the best aspect of your personality?
I think I’m a pretty funny guy. And sweet.
- Being that you’re considered G’s “teddy bear,” what is your soft spot?
That you will have to find out. Get to know me and you’ll see. I AM a big teddy bear.
- What do you think is your sexiest feature?
My smile.
- What do you find the most attractive in others?
That depends on the person.
- If you could single out one person as your personal hero who would it be?
Definitely my mom.
- Where would you like to be in 10 years?
Um… I’ll have to get back to you on that one!
- Your favorite movie is “X-Men,” if you woke up one day as any one of The X-Men, which would you be?
The Phoenix.
- What about The Phoenix appeals to you?
